Digital Paintings

I found the computer to be a transformational tool for drawing and painting, a license to explore the largest art studio I could imagine. It allows me to explore more visual elements than I ever dreamed possible, opening all kinds of new doors. It changed my ordinary boxes of pencils and bottles of paint into containers as tall as skyscrapers with thousands of tools and colors. The medium is light itself — painting colored light on a glass screen. Of course, the move to digital painting unleashed the common objection that the computer is making the art, not the artist. Does this mean that the brush made the painting, not the artist? Ultimately, it is still the image that counts.
